PADDINGTON TERRACE.
The transformation on this Paddington terrace bedroom and bathroom was remarkable. The client brief was to create a hotel plush feeling where one could relax and escape to. Pushing out to the boundary walls we created an 8 meter x 4 meter bedroom which included all built in custom joinery to keep the room as slimline and contemporary as possible. Using a porters paint finish we kept the wall colours, joinery and ceiling all in the same matt finish. Contrasting with a feature recycled timber support beam and black glazed feature windows that open up to a courtyard garden below, the room is flooded with natural light all day long making it feel calm and relaxing. We used feature lighting by Monde Luce and Artemide in the main bedroom and ensuite bathroom.
The ensuite was tiled in Elba marble on the floor and walls. Spanish handmade tiles in a soft mint were used as a feature wall in the shower recess. Designer bathroom fittings and a huge skylight window give this bathroom a feeling of luxury and style. A wool knotted light carpet was chosen to keep the consistency throughout and compliment the surrounding finishings.
French dark linen curtains and black blinds teamed with a charcoal linen bedhead work beautifully against the bedroom palette creating a contrast of accents in the room. The client has fabulous black and white artwork that feature prominently throughout the room.
