A contemporary home just purchased the client wanted to start from scratch and buy all new furniture to suit her growing family as well as add some style, softness and a wow factor to an existing neutral palette. Not knowing where to start the client commissioned NND to come up with finishes in furniture, lighting, painting, art, carpets and exterior ideas to really transform her home into a desirable place to live and entertain in friends and family.
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to work with a good budget to bring beautiful Italian designer pieces from Space Furniture, Fanuli and Monde Luce lighting as well as Coco Republic, Zuster and Hali rugs to name a few. Starting with key feature walls to bring the outside views of surroundings trees and water I chose a beautiful palette of cool, calm deep shades of green and light greys to contrast against the warm timber flooring throughout and modern hard lines of architecture. Once the walls were done to suit the various rooms, we played with bold designer lighting in the stairwell and dining areas. Beautiful contemporary lamps from Artemide and Euroluce were used throughout the living and bedroom spaces as key feature pieces in pop colours.
A gorgeous designer marble dining table by B& B Italia features under the Peggy light surrounded by black curved soft leather arm chairs from Zuster.
A Flexform divine sofa from Fanuli sits beautifully under the feature mirror that reflects the lighting, alongside the beautiful Husk chair from Space furniture, a contemporary black side table by Cult, an Artemide black gloss floor lamp and Hali silk contemporary rug make this open plan living space and dining area really eye-catching on entrance. A lovey leather ottoman in caramel leather softens the space making it practical and safe for small children as a centre piece.
Flowing onto the outdoor terrace with district views and a lovely neighbourhood we chose very comfortable outdoor swivel lounge chairs by Parterre, teamed up with a very smart table setting by Tait furniture with bold orange cushion seat furnishings to add some drama to the terrace.
In the master bedrooms we custom made some beautiful side tables and drawers in a deep olive green polyurethane finish and marble tops to showcase the fabulous Italian feature lamps. A gorgeous deep sea green velvet bedhead was custom made to suit the existing bed and a feature chair chosen for the master bedroom.
The childrens bedrooms were beautifully painted and carpeted to suit their personalities and ages, decorated with great art works, hanging mobiles, modern shelves and beautifully furnished beds and drawers by Lilly and Lolly keeping in mind quality finishes that will last them for years with few changes needed as they grow.
Exterior work completed the house with garden landscaping, a new swimming pool, outdoor furniture to suit the family lifestyle.
